Totally know what he means. Women feel the need to showcase that their position is equal and are always trying to pretend to be leaders. Sometimes young men do that too, but they get the sense of the purposefulness of the meeting sooner. Women go like "Let's establish the working order and the framework for this project", which translates to "Let me say some things that don't matter instead of talking about the project". And "I think it is very important to pay attention to the organizational aspect of...", which translates to "I can't add anything, but would really like you to think I am contributing massively". It takes a lot of energy to force them to talk about the subject, not the meeting itself, organization or, the new bullshit category, "culture". "It would be great teambuilding experience if we started by talking what's on everyone's mind", "We should approach this problem from a perspective of....", "Correct me if I out of line, but shouldn't we assign roles first?", etc.

Depends. If it was a white man to a white woman or black woman it would be sexist from the white and racist for the black. If it was a black man to a white woman or black woman then nothing would happen because culturally the Black man is king, judge, jury and executioner of his life.

Well he is right. Everyone working in cooperate organisations know that there are more and more meetings, and they take longer and longer with less and less factual things actually getting done. Meeting used to be more like a "battleplan" to align everyone towards the goal and divide objectives between the parties. Now there is a lot more talking, as if meeting for meeting sake had value.

I work in a library and I can definitely confirm this in meetings. Sorry to say. But we have 90% women in our library and they talk so goddamn much it's crazy.

Obviously not every women is like that but god damn my sister and mother are like that. If they don't have anything to say thet start asking question that are completely unnecessary or that they asked before but they just ask them to say something. Its like hanging out with the riddler. For some reason they're really uncomfortable with silence.
